We would personally like to invite you to our family’s 38th Annual Performance Tested Charolais Bull Sale and thank-you for taking time to review our program and our offering.
As we prepare for another sale, we reflect on some strong attributes that have marked our cattle and our program as a brand of excellence that you can be confident in. Our program and our cattle have the genetics to bring premium profit in all stages of the production cycle: cow/calf pairs, weaned calves, background cattle, feeders, and retail carcasses. We place great importance on total performance, which includes growth, calving ease, fertility, longevity, and carcass quality. As a whole, this set of bulls are well above the Charolais breed averages in growth and carcass traits outlined in the Sale Bull Comparative on page 8. Along with this superior performance, we have maintained longevity and
fertility in our program that is reflected by our high volume of satisfied repeat buyers.
A new feature to this year’s bull data is the addition of frame score and live weight. As our offering numbers grow, and more customers choose sight unseen and online purchases, we are providing this information as a tool in selecting for frame size and fleshability. Weights have been taken mid January and are an indicator of the bulls mature weight only, not the accessibility to a feed bucket. Bulls have been developed on a balanced growing ration, without sacrificing soundness and longevity.
As always, we encourage you to take time to view the bulls prior to sale day. We have comprehensive knowledge on every bull and would be glad to walk through the pens with you to offer assistance and answer questions you may have. We encourage you to make a healthy list of bulls that will meet your needs and buy with confidence knowing that each bull is backed by our program, our guarantee, and our integrity.
Bulls are cataloged and sold in order of age. We don’t choose the best to put at the front of the sale. So take note of the good steady quality from the first to the last.
