Good using gelding or trail horse looking for his person. Denver is a 12 y/o brown gelding with solid build. He is 14.3 hh and was purchased as a sale project. He has been rode regularly by all levels of riders; in the arena, on the trails, open fields and on the track. He was used in a feedlot with a previous owner and has been roped off of (no other information of his past could be produced). We liked the way he looked and the fact that he was used for work and he appeared quite well mannered.He was used for a half day in the community pasture where he handled all the commotion of cattle and horses with ease and interest. Trailers well and stands quiet.He has a solid walk, trot and lope and is very quiet and kind of the ground and in saddle. Easy to catch. He stops on a dime and does not try to trot off at a walk making him a good trail mount. I would say he has more whoa than go but does walk out when there is something to do. He looks around but does not spook or bolt. Denver has a good handle on him and has very good manners. You can tell someone has spent a lot of time on him. He has been ponied with precious cargo (my absolutely terrified 11 y/o son). We wanted to give Denver a second chance to find his person and believe he would make a good using horse or trail horse. He loves kids and is a nice horse to have around. Some projects you are happy to see go down the road - Denver is not one of those. We would keep him if we could.Recommended for intermediate or experienced rider. He had an exam and his teeth were floated by Bridgeman Performance Equine. Inquiries are welcome.
