Hi everyone, my name is Kroy Periard and I’m 12 years old. This year is my very first year in 4-H, and I’ve been raising my steer, Trigger, for the Rockyford 4-H Beef Show and Sale. Trigger is a Red Angus cross Simmental steer, and he’s taught me a lot already this year. Since joining 4-H, I’ve learned how much work goes into caring for cattle every day. From feeding and grooming to spending time getting Trigger used to being handled, it has been a really fun experience and something I’m proud of.
